If the animal is chained, tied with rope or trained to stand still, it will have been 'disciplined' to allow humans this close and this could trigger painful memories and could result in unpredictable or dangerous behaviour.

The animals should be able to retreat from a photo opportunity at will.
Many animals become depressed from being brought out for human handling multiple times a day.
